EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Del Valle High School campus was vandalized late Tuesday night, Sept. 24, resulting in damage to several of its windows, according to a spokesperson with the Ysleta Independent School District (ISD).
The spokesperson says the district’s maintenance staff worked to clean up the debris and began repairs on Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, and classes proceeded as usual.
Ysleta ISD security and the El Paso Police Department are investigating the incident and the district is assessing the extent of the financial damage, according to the spokesperson.
“We’d like to reassure our parents that Ysleta ISD takes all incidents of vandalism seriously and remains committed to maintaining the safety, security, and well-being of students and staff at all campuses. We will continue working closely with law enforcement to identify those responsible and pursue all appropriate actions,” the spokesperson said.
