KTSM News – Gourmet meal, live jazz highlight Dress the Child fundraiser

Posted on September 28, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — If you are a “foodie” and also want to do some good to help underprivileged children in the Borderland, you might mark down Sunday, Oct. 6 on your calendar.

That evening the annual Dress the Child fundraiser dinner will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. at Amador Live, 302 S. Main St., in Downtown Las Cruces.

Tickets are $75 or $100. All proceeds will benefit the Las Cruces Dress the Child Program, which works with Las Cruces Public Schools and Gadsden Independent School District to provide new clothes and shoes for hundreds of Mesilla Valley children living in poverty, organizers said.

The event includes a six-course Mediterranean dinner prepared by some of Las Cruces’ top chefts, along with live jazz music.

For tickets, to make a donation or to learn more, call Dress the Child Coordinator Doug Broberg at (575) 644-9469.
