EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Hospitals of Providence (THOP) is hosting a mammogram event to encourage women to get their exam and the importance of early detection, THOP announced in a news release.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at THOP Imaging Center West located at 601 Sunland Park Dr., and THOP Breast and Women’s Health Center East located at 3270 Joe Battle Blvd. Suite 340-B.
Knowing how busy women are in their daily lives, the breast imaging centers are offering extended hours to ensure women have time to get this important exam done, according to the news release.
THOP Imaging Centers will offer extended Saturday hours and rates – $60 breast screenings and $130 3D imaging during mammo events, according to the news release.
THOP said mammograms are the most effective form of early detection for breast cancer, but early detection is key.
