EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 21-year-old man was recently arrested in connection with a stalking incident involving a 42-year-old woman, according to the El Paso Police Department (EPPD).
EPPD said Xavier Martinez, 21, was arrested and charged with stalking with a $25,000 bond.
Martinez was reported to have approached the woman on separate occasions back in September, while she was walking to her place of employment, police said.
The incidents happened along the 300 block of North Campbell Street in Downtown El Paso and led the woman to have “growing concerns” about her safety, police said.
EPPD said the woman reported the incidents prompting an investigation which led to the arrest of Martinez.
EPPD urges anyone experiencing similar situations to report them immediately.
The investigation is ongoing, according to EPPD.
