KTSM News – Trout resigns from Canutillo ISD board, withdraw re-election bid

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Blanca Trout has resigned from the Canutillo Independent School Board of Trustees effective immediately, the district announced on Monday, Oct. 7.

Trout, a two-term trustee, resigned for personal reasons, the district said in its announcement.

She was seeking re-election and is listed on the ballot for the Nov. 5 general election. A total of 10 candidates are seeking four at-large positions on the Canutillo board.

She also said she is withdrawing her candidacy, the district said.

“On behalf of the students and employees of the district, I wish her well and thank her for her service to the Canutillo community,” Canutillo ISD Superintendent Pedro Galaviz said.
