Daniel “Danny” Robledo: The 36 years experience with El Paso Municipal Court, both as an Assistant City Prosecutor and Presiding Judge.
What changes or improvements would you implement to make the municipal court more efficient in managing its docket?

Daniel “Danny” Robledo: While as Presiding judge, I implemented an “Open Court Policy,” which allows anyone from our community and out-of-town guests to come to Municipal Court No. 5 to address any issues they may have, concerning their treatment or case/s.
Describe your leadership style and how you apply that on the bench to people who come to your court.

Daniel “Danny” Robledo: I have always been respectful, courteous and attentive with anyone who comes before the court.
Many people know municipal court as “traffic court,” although the court has jurisdiction over many other cases such as city ordinance violations. What part of the job is most important to you and why?

Daniel “Danny” Robledo: Due process, the rule of law and making sure that justice is being served, would be the three most important processes that need to be carry out.
What is the biggest challenge facing municipal courts and how would you address it?
Mike Herrera: Did not respond.
Daniel “Danny” Robledo: Anyone with an “open warrant” from municipal court is given the opportunity to either submit a letter, email or just come by Court No. 5, requesting that their warrant/s be recalled; be allowed the opportunity to set their case/s for a hearing and have the opportunity to be heard.
