EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — For the third straight day, the Blue Front Fire near Ruidoso has not grown in size, according to the U.S. Forest Service on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The fire, which is burning 9 miles northwest of Ruidoso in this summer’s Blue 2 Fire footprint, remains at 323 acres for the third straight day, the U.S. Forest Service said in a post on a Facebook page dedicated to the fire.
The fire is now 52 percent contained.
There are currently 25 firefighters on the ground fighting the fire with support of three engines and a helicopter.
There are no evacuations in effect but the area around Bonito Lake remains in “ready” status.
