EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso has released a list of road closures for the week of Nov. 8 that could affect your commute.
I-10 widening west closures
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10
I-10 East will be closed at Redd Road.
DETOUR: Take Exit 8 (Redd Road), continue on South Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 past Mesa Street.
Crews will be placing bridge beams.
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, and Thursday, Nov. 14
Left lane will be closed on South Desert between Artcraft Road and Redd Road.
Crews will be placing concrete pavement.
9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11
I-10 West will be closed at Mesa Street.
Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert Boulevard, and re-enter I-10 past Redd Road.
Crews will be placing bridge beams.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, through Saturday, Nov. 16
I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road.
Crews will be working on retaining walls.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, through Saturday, Nov.16
I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Mesa Street and Redd Road.
Crews will be conducting earthwork and installing bridge deck panels.

North Desert Boulevard will be reduced to one lane between the Artcraft exit ramp and the Redd Road onramp.
The onramp from North Desert Boulevard to I-10 West will be closed.
DETOUR: Continue on North Desert and enter I-10 past Transmountain.

I-10 East will be closed at Vinton Road.
South Desert Boulevard will be closed from Vinton Road to south of Los Mochis Drive.
Detour: Take Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Boulevard), turn right on Vinton Road, turn left on Doniphan Road, turn left on Talbot, turn left on Spur 16, turn right on South Desert, re-enter I-10 past Transmountain Road.
The turnaround from North Desert Boulevard to South Desert Boulevard at Vinton Road will be closed.
Los Mochis Drive will be closed at South Desert Boulevard.
Crews will be installing bridge beams.
Widening Phase 2
Closure reduced from a 51-hour closure to a 15-hour closure and with a detour change
3 a.m. to 6 p.m. (15 hours) on Saturday, Nov. 9
I-10 East will be closed from Anthony, TX to Transmountain Rd.
DETOUR: Take Exit 0 (Anthony), proceed on South Desert Boulevard through the Anthony and Vinton intersections, enter I-10 East at the Los Mochis on-ramp (previous detour was to Transmountain Rd).
Crews will be placing new barriers and striping the pavement.

DETOUR: Take Vinton Road West towards Doniphan Drive, turn left at Doniphan and proceed towards Talbot Street. Turn left at Talbot and proceed to Transmountain Road to access South Desert and re-enter I-10 East through the Transmountain on-ramp.
