EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Water will be temporarily shut off in part of a neighborhood in Sunland Park on Sunday, Nov. 10, the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority said.
The “temporary disruption of service” will start at about 12 p.m. Sunday on Calle Morroco between Calle Obregon and Calle Madero. The shutdown is needed so a contractor working on a road improvement project can repair a waterline break, the utility said.
CRRUA did not say how long water would be shut off.
Once service is restored, water could be discolored. The utility said water will be safe to drink but recommends waiting to wash laundry until the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within hours, CRRUA said. If it does not, CRRUA recommends flushing all your faucets for about five minutes.
