EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Workforce Solutions Borderplex will host one of its biggest events of the year this week — its Red, White and You hiring fair, which is part of a larger statewide event.
In El Paso, the job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 11701 Montana Ave.
You can participate in person or virtually.
The Red, White and You Veterans Hiring Fair is geared for service members, veterans and their spouses to connect with employers. The general public can also attend.
It is free for the military community and public to attend.
All Workforce Solutions Borderplex offices will also offer resource areas to help people access the virtual event.
Attendees, whether in person or virutally, will be able to connect with and explore career opportunities in logistics, information technology, advanced manufacturing, transportation, public services and virtually almost all industries will be available, organizers said.
Other highlights include workshops led by industry leaders and tips from fellow veterans on transitioning to a new career.
This statewide event was initially launched in 2011 in collaboration with Texas Workforce Solutions, the Office of the Governor, Texas Medical Center and the Texas Veterans Commission.
Since its inception, Hiring Red, White and You has served more than 20,000 employers, connected more than 114,000 job seekers to “meaningful opportunities” and facilitated more than 3,000 same-day hires, according to organizers.
