EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Have you ever wanted to learn to paint and create your own art, but didn’t know how to get started?
Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department is offering “step-by-step” paint classes on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and again on Dec. 11.
The instructor-led classes provide a fun and interesting format using a step-by-step tutorial while painting, according to a news release sent out by the City of Las Cruces.
Supplies and instruction are provided for $20 per person, per class. Two classes are scheduled.
Classes will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, and 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Dr. Both classes last approximately 90 minutes.
Registration is currently ongoing until filled. Registration for Paint Night can be completed online or during regular business hours at:
Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The paint classes are for ages 13 and over. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
