EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso’s longest Thanksgiving tradition returns to the Sun City with the 88th annual Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers Sun Bowl Parade.
This year’s parade will start at 10 a.m. Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 28, beginning at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Ochoa Street.
The event will be broadcast live on KTSM News Channel 9 and livestreamed on KTSM.com.
The Sun Bowl Parade will begin at Montana and Ochoa and will end at Copia Street. The event will roughly be two hours long.
Families that want to have a good spot to see the parade are encouraged to make their way to the parade route before 8 a.m.

The bleacher seats are located in front of the Emergence Health Network, located at 1600 Montana Ave.
El Paso Police and AD Towing will begin towing cars off Montana from Mesa to Interstate 54 starting at 5 a.m. the day of the parade.
At 5:30 a.m., El Paso Police will begin to block off traffic on Montana from Mesa to U.S. 54. All streets one block above and below Montana will be blocked off as well.
This year’s theme for the Sun Bowl Parade is “Celebrate, Honor & Remembering All The Heroes Who Have Served” to honor and celebrate heroes who have served the community, such as firefighters, military members, law enforcement officials, educators, custodians, farmers and others.
Former Sun Bowl Association Board President Wayne Thornton is this year’s grand marshal.
Event officials are anticipating over 100 units participating in this year’s parade, including floats, equestrian units, clowns, marching bands, drum and bugle corps units, dignitaries, celebrity grand marshal, and a wide variety of specialty units from Mexican/Indian dancers to military ceremonial units.
