EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Community members gathered together for a “rock painting” party to fight back against animal cruelty.
The event was held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30 at the Esperanza Moreno Acosta Branch Library, 12480 Pebble Hills Blvd., in far East El Paso.

Community members painted rocks as a way to promote the phone number for the El Paso Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Unit. That special unit of the Police Department can be reached by calling (915) 212-0800.
Community members also donated cat food to benefit community cats.
