KTSM News – Horizon HS teacher struck, killed in Juarez to be honored next week

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A beloved Horizon High School teacher who died in November after being struck by a vehicle in Juarez will be honored next week.

A memorial will be held for Mario Ruben Tafoya at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12 at Horizon High School.

Tafoya died on Friday, Nov. 22, after he had been hospitalized in critical condition for his injuries, according to a GoFundMe made by his family.
