KTSM News – Motorcyclist identified after fatal Northeast El Paso crash

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 62-year-old man was identified as the person who died in a motorcycle crash last Friday, Nov. 29, in Northeast El Paso, according to El Paso Police.


One person dead after crash involving motorcycle in Northeast El Paso

Police say they responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at 2:30 p.m. that Friday at the intersection of Deer Avenue and Dyer Street.

Police say Mark Alan Rasmussen, 62, was traveling on a motorcycle going south on Dyer Street, approaching the intersection of Deer Avenue. A woman who was traveling in a Dodge Charger was traveling north on Dyer Street, and was also approaching the intersection.

After they both approached the intersection, the woman turned left in front of Rasmussen which resulted in the crash.

Rasmussen was then transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police did not say if the woman will be facing any charges. This is the 63rd fatality this year compared to 75 last year.
