EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A weekend closure at I-10 West at Mesa Street is expected to last 49 hours and take place from Saturday, Dec. 7 through Monday, Dec. 9, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said in a news release.

I-10 Widening West
49-hour closure:
Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4 a.m., through Monday, Dec. 9 at 5 a.m.
I-10 West will be closed at Mesa Street.
DETOUR: Take Exit 11 (SH 20/Mesa Street/Thorn Avenue), continue on North Desert, and re-enter I-10 West past Redd Road.
Crews will be installing the bridge deck.
Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Vinton Road and Transmountain Road.
Crews will be working on retaining walls.
Monday, Dec. 9, through Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-10 East and West will be reduced to one lane between Redd Road and Mesa Street.
Crews will be conducting earth work and installing bridge deck panels.
Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The off ramp from I-10 West to Transmountain Road will be closed.
DETOUR: Take Exit 9 (SH 178/Artcraft Road/Paseo del Norte), continue on North Desert Boulevard, and turn at Transmountain.
Crews will be conducting concrete repairs.
Tuesday, Dec. 17, and Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Redd Road will be closed between North Desert Boulevard and South Desert Boulevard.
EASTBOUND REDD ROAD DETOUR: Continue on South Desert, use the turnaround at North Mesa Street, continue on North Desert Boulevard, and turn right on Redd Road.
WESTBOUND REDD ROAD DETOUR: Continue on North Desert, turn left on Artcraft Road, turn left on South Desert Boulevard, and turn right on Redd Road.
