EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Holiday Fiestas at WinterFest is in full swing with free, family-friendly performances and concerts lighting up San Jacinto Plaza every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Jan. 5.
This weekend is no exception, with an exciting lineup of fun, holiday-like activities for the entire family.
Weekend highlights include:
Saturday, Dec. 7:
6 p.m. — Senior Choir from the Park and Recreation Senior Program to sing festive music.
6:30 p.m. — Pastorela Navideña con Balet Folklorico Paso del Norte — Mexican Consulate in El Paso and the City of El Paso hosting a Posada Navideña featuring folklorico dancing.
8:30 p.m. — La Original Sonora group sings and performs cumbia songs.
Sunday, Dec. 8:
6 p.m. — Baila El Paso at WinterFest! offers free dance lessons in bachata, cumbia, and salsa, hosted by the El Paso Ballroom Dance Academy, Live Active El Paso, and the Parks and Recreation Department.
Additional festive attractions:
Free Photos with Santa: Presented by GECU, meet Santa and capture the holiday magic from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at San Jacinto Plaza.
Holiday Food Truck Village: Savor seasonal treats and eats on Mills Street between Oregon and Mesa.
The Rink: Glide into the season at the ice-skating rink outside the Convention Center.
Holiday Market at WinterFest: Shop for unique, handmade gifts on Main Street between El Paso Street and Oregon, open from 5 to 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday.
Dazzling displays:
Musical light show at Cleveland Square Park: Enjoy a mesmerizing display of musical-colored lights daily from 5 to 11 p.m. in front of the El Paso Museum of History on Franklin Street.
San Jacinto Plaza lights: Revel in the holiday spirit as the Plaza’s lights shine every evening from 5 to 11 p.m.
