EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority says it received two customer calls about discolored water in November.
The utility said they had operators test water at the point of entry to both residences and the waster was clear.
CRRUA, which provides water and wastewater service to Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, has been under fire for water quality and discolored water for months.

Discolored water calls include brown or yellow water, the utility said.
Causes include waterline breaks, water wells returning to service, hydrant flushes that disturb naturally occurring sediments that accumulate in the distribution system over time, and issues within the home associated with water heaters, water softeners and water filtration systems, the utility said.
CRRUA Executive Director Juan Crosby initiated the monthly tracking of discolored water calls in February, after taking over as interim executive director in January.
