EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Former Canutillo Eagle, LJ Martin, capped his sophomore season at BYU with a Valero Alamo Bowl win against Colorado.
The running back recorded 93 yards on 17 carries paired with two touchdowns to help BYU take 36-14 win in the bowl game.
Martin opened the scoring with a 1-yard rush to put the Cougars up over the Buffs 7-0 early, and he followed that up with a 9-yard rushing TD in the second half.
The El Paso native was a huge contributor in BYU’s run game over the course of the season totaling 695 all-purpose yards at the close of the 2024 season, finding the end zone seven times.
The BYU Cougars closed out their season with a 11-2 record.
