KTSM News – Sun Bowl teams visit El Paso hospitals

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Patients, nurses, and staff at the El Paso Children’s Hospital and the Hospitals of Providence were treated to a very special surprise visit on Monday, Dec. 30.


Louisville, Washington arrive in El Paso for 2024 Sun Bowl

The University of Washington Huskies team along with the Sun Bowl Court visited patients at Providence Children’s Hospital and The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus on Monday, Dec. 30.

In anticipation of the Sun Bowl game happening on New Year’s Eve, the Louisville Cardinals and Washington Huskies teams were spreading some cheer by visiting the hospitals the day before the game.

The Huskies split to visit the Hospitals of Providence Memorial, 2001 N Oregon St., and Las Palmas Medical Center, 1801 N Oregon St., the Sun Bowl Association said in a news release.

The Cardinals visited the El Paso Children’s Hospital, 4845 Alameda Ave., the Sun Bowl Association said.

Louisville and Washington will go head-to-head in the 2024 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Sun Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is at noon.
