EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — One person has been transported with serious injuries after a vehicle caught fire on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11 in East-Central El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire dispatch.
The call came in at 3:47 p.m. Saturday at Gateway East and Trowbridge, dispatch said.
The fire is also impacting traffic in the area.
One person has been transported to a local hospital with serious injuries (code 3) and there may be other patients on scene, dispatch said.
Dispatch has not released any other information about the injured person at this time.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said all lanes are closed at Gateway East and Trowbridge and motorists should detour at Yandell.
The clearing time of the incident is until further notice, TxDOT said.
