EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a controlled substance when he was seen driving nearly 100 mph shortly before midnight on New Year’s Eve along Mesa Street in West El Paso, El Paso Police said.

Jorge Mariano Polo-Hernandez, 35, was arrested about 20 minutes before midnight on New Year’s Eve when he was seen by police driving 98 mph in a 40 mph zone along the 6500 block of Mesa.
