El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — One person had to be transported by ambulance with smoke inhalation after a house fire on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25 in Sunland Park, New Mexico.


The Sunland Park Fire Department and Dona Ana Fire Rescue responed to a residential structure fire just a little before 4 p.m. Saturday along the 200 block of Poplar Court.
The fire took less than 10 minutes to knock down, Sunland Park Fire said.
Sunland Park had two engines and a brush truck on the scene and Dona Ana Fire Rescue had a truck assisting with the fire.
The fire was ruled to be accidental, starting in the chimeny, the Sunland Park Fire Marshal’s Office said.
