EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department need your help in identifying the individuals involved in a fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man last month in Central El Paso.
This is this week’s “Crime of the Week” as publicized by Crime Stoppers.
At roughly 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, officers responded to a local hospital where 19-year-old Anthony Rodriguez was taken in by friends with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, Crime Stoppers said.

Rodriguez died due to his injuries.
Detectives then learned that the incident happened at about 1:25 a.m. in the area of Pershing Drive and Gateway South.
Rodriguez and three friends were driving and “became involved in a confrontation with occupants from another vehicle,” Crime Stoppers said.
During the confrontation, shots were fired and Rodriguez was critically injured, Crime Stoppers said.
