Yesterday’s high was 76, which tied the record of 76 set in 2003. Today’s high is 79, which breaks the record of 77 set in 2021. If my forecast is accurate, we may break or tie the record three more times this week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). It’s very, very strange, but we may as well enjoy the very warm week.
TONIGHT: The skies will be mostly clear with only an occasional cloud. The winds will be light and variable at calm to 10 mph, and the low will drop to 45 at the airport, 38 in the valley.
FORECAST: Tuesday will again take us into record warmth territory. With a high of 81, enjoy mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and a warm breeze from the SW at 5-15 mph. The record for February 4 is 79 set in 1890. Wednesday will be sunny with slightly stronger winds. The SW winds will pick up and gust to near 25 mph. This will pop the high up to 80. Thursday will be sunny and 79 with warm breezes. Friday will be sunny with warm breezes and a high of 79. The SW winds will range from 10-20 mph. On Saturday, we cool slightly to 77 under partly cloudy skies. Cooler breezes filter in on Sunday, dropping the high to 72. Monday will be sunny with very gusty winds and a high 73.
