EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The ninth season of the Jewel Box Series brings a topical drama “Stop Kiss” to El Paso’s Philanthropy Theatre.
Diana Son’s drama “Stop Kiss” performance is set at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Philanthropy Theatre, 125 Pioneer Plaza.

General admission tickets are $15 and can be available to purchase at the Plaza Theatre Box Office and Ticketmaster, the El Paso Community Foundation said in a news release.
According to the El Paso Community Foundation, the Philanthropy Theatre only allows clear bags or small clutches.
The foundation is letting the public know that the performance is for mature audiences and includes some explicit language.
“Stop Kiss” focuses on two women sharing their first kiss late one night in New York’s West Village. They are brutally attacked, leaving one woman hospitalized in a coma, the El Paso Community Foundation said.
According to the foundation, the audience will be able to explore the relationships and see how Son “elaborates on the depths of human emotion and compassion.”
The Jewel Box production will feature the following seven-member cast:

- Emily James
- Angel Delgado
- Jesus Guillermo Reyes
- Drea Hurell
- Johnathan Cantrell
- Debra Venegas.
Son is an American playwright, television producer and writer and is known for her work on “13 Reasons Why,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” according to her IMDb profile.
The play debuted off-Broadway in 1998 with leads Sandra Oh and Jessica Hecht.
