EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso man recently pleaded guilty to the murder of two people and was sentenced to 45 years in prison, according to the El Paso District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s Office says Adrian James Gonzales, 28, accepted a plea deal on Monday, Feb. 3, after murdering Enrike Havier Navarro, 34, and Noemi Crispin, 40 last year.
On Feb. 23, 2024, a witness called the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office after seeing a man lying on the ground unresponsive at the 4600 block of Turf Road. The man was later identified to be Navarro. Deputies found Crispin’s body a short distance away after arriving at the scene, according to the DA’s Office.
The witness told investigators she saw a man driving away from the scene who was later identified to be Gonzales. Investigators ended up following the vehicle debris and fluid trail to a home located on the 4700 block of Turf Road where they found Gonzales and a damaged SUV, according to the DA’s Office.
The DA’s Office says surveillance footage showed Gonzales driving “erratically” on Turf Road around the time of the crash.
Family and friends of Gonzales told investigators that he often used methamphetamine, according to the DA’s Office.
