EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man is facing charges after he allegedly stole two twisted teas and broke a glass door to a Family Dollar on Tuesday, Feb. 11 near Canutillo, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
Gerardo Morales, 34, is facing a charge of burglary of a building and criminal mischief after he allegedly broke into the store, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched that Tuesday to a Family Dollar at 6794 Doniphan Drive in reference to an alarm that had gone off.
Once deputies arrived they noticed the front glass door to the store was broken. Deputies then reviewed surveillance footage and located Morales who was wearing the same clothing that was depicted in the footage.
Throughout the investigation, deputies determined that Morales had stolen two twisted teas and the damage caused to the glass door was an estimated $1,200, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Morales was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $13,000 bond.
