EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A inmate at the minimum-security Satellite Camp next to the Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna in Anthony, Texas, is missing, the prison reported on Sunday morning, Feb. 23.
Juan Luis Garcia, 21, was discovered missing at about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Garcia was sentenced in the Western District of Oklahoma to a nearly five-year sentence for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Garcia is described as a white male with black hair, brown eyes, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs about 190 pounds.
The U.S. Marshals Service, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies were notified. An internal investigation was initiated.
