EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Hotel & Furniture Liquidators specializes in all things furniture. Over the years, they’ve furnished homes, hotels, and more.
Sandra Trevino has owned the store at the Shoppes at Solana for the past three years. However, the business has been in her family for over 30 years. Trevino said a lack of foot traffic and customers are the main concerns right now.
“In the past year, the decline has just been like, getting worse and worse. And, you know, it’s kind of scary as a business owner because I’ve always, from when I can recall, this business has always been thriving. And this has been my worst grossing year the last year,” Trevino said.
Trevino said that they are staying hopeful that they won’t have to close their doors and are actively taking steps to stay open, like reducing the amount of merchandise in stock, holding special sales, and reaching out to the community.
“I know it might be the right decision to close, but it will hurt my heart because I put so much work into it that it’s just like I don’t want it to be an option. So, that’s why I’m also reaching out to my community because it’s something I worked really hard on,” Trevino said.
Hotel & Furniture Liquidators is located inside the Shoppes at Solana, 750 Sunland Park Dr.
