KTSM News – Las Cruce Fire extinguish house fire

Posted on February 28, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces Fire Department (LCFD) extinguished a house fire Thursday evening, Feb. 27.

The call came in at 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 27 about a structure fire on the 1300 block of Alamo Street.

When fire crews arrived, they found a single-story house with flames and smoke coming from the rear of the home, according to a news release by Las Cruces Fire.

According to the department, some conditions slowed the effort to contain the fire, but crews brought the fire under control within roughly 45 minutes.

There were no occupants in the home and no injuries were reported, Las Cruces Fire said.

The home sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire and damage estimates has not been determined, according to the department.
