EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — UTEP defensive player Jaylon Shelton was arrested this past Wednesday, March 5, on charges including the alleged assault of a pregnant person, according to jail records.
Jail records state Shelton was arrested for alleged assault of a pregnant person, assault of a family/house member impeding breath/circulation, and unlawful restraint.
Jail records state the unlawful restraint and the assault of a family/house member impeding breath/circulation allegedly happened on Friday, Feb. 28. The alleged assault of a pregnant person happened on Saturday, March 1.
Jail records show Shelton posted bond the same day.
