EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Mexican national was recently arrested in El Paso on criminal charges related to his alleged illegal re-entry, according to the United States Attorney’s Office from the Western District of Texas.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Clemente Galvez-Alapisco, 47, of Sinaloa, has been deported twice before, most recently in June 2022, after he was convicted of indecency with a child. He was also convicted of illegal re-entry in July 2019 and sentenced to five months and 11 days in confinement.
If convicted, Galvez-Alapisco faces up to 10 years in prison.
U.S. Border Patrol is investigating the case.
