EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso favorite restaurant will be featured and visited by “America’s Best Restaurants” (ABR) in mid-March.
Track One, an El Paso restaurant that is inside of a vintage train and highlighted by their famous “double-dip wings,” will be filmed for ABR’s “Roadshow” on March 18, according to the news release.
ABR is a national media and marketing company that focuses on bringing attention to local, independent-owned restaurants nationwide.
According to ABR, the episode will be aired at a later date on its social media channels.
Track One has been around since 1972 and is owned by Lolly and her late husband Ken McDermott.
As KTSM previously reported, Ken McDermott died in April 2024.
The restaurant includes a 1920 Southern Pacific dining car, a caboose and a refrigerator boxcar with stained glass windows, a textured ceiling and a miniature train display.
According to ABR, Track One has won numerous awards, including “Best Of The City” from El Paso Magazine.
“I like how (America’s Best Restaurants) targets unique establishments,” Lolly McDermott said. “It gives that small mom-and-pop shop its time to shine.”
In addition to their double-dip wings, Track One also offers nachos, freshly made pico de gallo, salads, sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, steaks and kebabs.
Track Once is open daily and is located at 1330 Buffalo Soldier Rd. For more information, you can visit Track One’s website.
