KTSM News – JOBE conducts ‘controlled explosion’ in Northwest El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — JOBE, a supplier of construction materials that also has a couple of quarries, confirmed that a loud explosion that happened on Friday, March 21, in Northwest El Paso, was set off by them in what they are calling a “controlled explosion,” El Paso Fire said.

El Paso Fire said a call came in at 10:56 a.m. about a “loud boom,” east of Helen of Troy Drive and Resler Drive.

Crews responded to the areas reported where residents heard the loud booms, and they confirmed there was no emergency.

JOBE confirmed they will be conducting more controlled explosions in the near future.
