EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is inviting the community to the grand opening of the Mexican American Cultural Center on Saturday, March 22, the City said in a press release on Tuesday, March 11.
The City says the celebration will be from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. along Franklin Avenue in Downtown El Paso featuring cultural performances, interactive experiences, and a first look at the facility.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the El Paso Mexican American Cultural Center located at 201 W. Franklin Ave.
The celebration will include guided tours of the center’s amenities, unveiling of exhibitions, family-friendly activities, dance performers and musical performers, food trucks, local vendors, a lowrider car showcase, custom bikes, and a lucha libre wrestling ring, the City said.
