Aren’t they wonderful? T-storms, that is. We had isolated storms crop up on the east side around 2:30 PM. They started over San Elizario before moving north near Horizon City. Did they drop a lot of rain? No, but we did not expect much. Did they send out some brief, strong gusts? Yes. We have a narrow window for more isolated showers and storms through the night into the morning hours of Thursday. After that, we’re back to our dry pattern. Here’s your 9-Hour Forecast:
TONIGHT: The skies will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers and a few isolated (non-severe) t-storms. Expect the chance of brief showers with area storms as well as occasional gusts of wind. The chance of showers extends through midday Thursday. The SE winds will range from 5-20 mph when not gusting, and the low will drop to 57.
FORECAST: Thursday will start out partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated area showers and slight chance of isolated t-storms (non-severe). By midday, the winds will shift SW at 5-20 mph. This will quickly dry us out for the afternoon. Thursday’s high: 86. Friday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and a high of 88. Winds will become moderately gusty with west winds peaking near 30 mph. Saturday will be mostly sunny with gusty winds in the afternoon. The SW-W winds will pick up and gust near 40 mph. This will likely stir up a slight dusty haze. Saturday’s high: 86. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a few clouds, moderate winds, and a high of 80. The west winds will gust near 35 mph. Monday will be partly cloudy with a high of 83. Tuesday will be partly cloudy and 88 as high pressure builds over the Borderland.
