EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in El Paso’s Lower Valley last week.
This is this week’s “Crime of the Week,” as publicized by Crime Stoppers.
As we’ve previously reported, at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, March 21, Jesus Fernando Perez, 52, was crossing the 7300 block of North Loop, near the El Paso Community College campus.

According to Crime Stoppers, Perez was crossing with his wife from the north curb to the south when he was struck.
Perez’s wife was unharmed, according to Crime Stoppers.
The driver fled the scene eastbound on North Loop, according to Crime Stoppers.
According to Crime Stoppers, Perez was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.
Witnesses on the scene described the vehicle as a dark-colored, small four-door car. The vehicle will have damage to the right front side, according to Crime Stoppers.
