EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 30-year-old man, who was featured on the “Most Wanted” fugitives list several times recently, was arrested over the weekend with 13 outstanding felony warrants, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) said.
EPCSO said on Saturday, March 29, deputies located and safely arrested Alex Montoya, 30, at his residence in the 14300 block of High Rock Drive.
Montoya was wanted on 13 outstanding felony warrants including the following, according to EPCSO:
- Theft of property
- Abandoning/endangering a child
- Evading arrest/detention with a vehicle
- Forgery
- Tampering with government records/fraud
He was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with no bond, EPCSO said.
“The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to protecting the community and ensuring fugitives are held accountable. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a similar crime involving Alex Montoya is urged to come forward and contact local law enforcement at (915) 273-3448, ext. 1698,” read the news release.
EPCSO said residents are also reminded that aiding or harboring a fugitive is a crime.
