EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Registration for the El Paso Independent School District will open Tuesday, April 1, for the 2025-26 school year.
“Whether enrolling for the first time or continuing another year of exceptional education, El Paso ISD provides innovative programs, diverse extracurricular activities, and a commitment to academic achievement for all students,” the district said in a news release.
Some highlights:
The district is offering specialized academies in STEM, STEAM, fine arts and environmental science.
EPISD also offers all-day pre-K3 and pre-K4 programs. Pre-K3 is for children who turn 3 years old on or before Sept. 1. Pre-K4 is for children who turn 4 years old on or before Sept. 1.
El Paso ISD offers full-day Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs at multiple campuses across the district, “making it easy for families to access this valuable opportunity,” the district said.
The district is also offering free Montesorri education at Dr. Green Elementary and Moreno Elementary. These programs “provide a student-centered approach that nurtures independence, creativity and active learning,” the district said.
Another highlight is the district’s P-TECH Program (Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools). This program gives students the opportunity to graduate with a high-school degree, an associate degree from El Paso Community College and an industry-based certificate.
Career-focused magnet programs and academies are also offered. These combine “rigorous academics, hands-on experiences and opportunities to earn industry certifications,” the district said.
