EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 30-year-old woman is being sought by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in connection with multiple theft cases, the agency said.
On April 4, deputies responded to a theft report at the Burlington store at 13371 Gateway West. Store employees reported that a female suspect had stolen about $135 in merchandise.
Through the course of the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as 30-year-old Ameena Ezzouhairy, the Sheriff’s Office said.
She is also believed to be connected to multiple other theft cases in the City of El Paso, the Sheriff’s Office said.
At this time, Ezzouhairy has not been taken into custody.
A criminal warrant has been issued for her arrest for theft of property-shoplifting. Bond has been set at $2,000, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is urging local business owners and retail employees to remain vigilant and report any sightings of Ezzouhairy to law enforcement immediately.
“The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to safeguarding the community, holding fugitives accountable, and ensuring those who threaten public safety are brought to justice,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
