EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 31-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash that happened Tuesday night, April 8, in East El Paso, according to El Paso Police.
At roughly 11:47 p.m. on April 8, police were called to investigate a motorcycle crash that happened at the intersection of Montana and Saul Kleinfeld.
At roughly 1 a.m. on April 9, the Special Traffic Investigations unit was contacted to assist in the investigation.
According to police, a preliminary investigation revealed that Monderrio Turner, 31, was traveling west on Montana at a “high rate of speed” in a U-turn-only lane.
Turner couldn’t stay in his lane during a turn, struck the curb and was thrown from his motorcycle, according to police.
Police said Turner was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Speed is a contributing factor in this crash, police said.
