EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — After spending 307 days in the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Providence Children’s Hospital, Ruben Carrillo graduated and will be going home, according to the hospital, on Saturday, April 12.
According to Providence Children’s Hospital, Ruben was born at 23 weeks and 6 days and weighed 1 pound and 14 ounces.
Ruben officially graduated the NICU with his certificate and now weighs 14 pounds, the hospital said.
Ruben will be going home with his dad and mom, Joseph Carrillo and Corina Carrillo.
