EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 26-year-old El Paso man was arrested after he was seen dragging and kicking a dog on a leash earlier this month in East El Paso, according to El Paso Police.
Emilio Adrian Hernandez, 26, is facing a charge of cruelty to a non-livestock animal with a bond of $10,000.
Police say on Tuesday, April 1, investigators from the Animal Cruelty Unit responded to the 10500 block of Ashwood on multiple animal cruelty complaints of a man dragging and kicking a dog on a leash.
Throughout the investigation, Hernandez was identified as the man who was dragging and kicking a brown boxer named Goose.
On Friday, April 11, Hernadez was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Goose was surrendered to animal services.
