EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso’s summer music series “Cool Canyon Nights” returns for its 15th season at McKelligon Canyon.
The music series kicks off on Thursday, May 15, and will happen every Thursday evening until July 31 at the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater, located inside Franklin Mountains State Park. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Cool Canyon Nights will feature 25 acts, bands and performers. Each week will feature different themed music nights, including a Selena tribute, jazz, rock, country, cumbia, Latin and Spanish music.
According to the news release, general admission into the event is free and VIP tickets are available for purchase at the KissElPaso.com website. VIP tickets are limited and can be bought for roughly $20-$30, not including fees.
VIP tickets include reserved seating, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a beverage.
McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater does have a clear bag policy and guests will not be allowed to bring in purses or handbags, according to the news release.
In addition, no outside food or drinks will be allowed in the venue. No outside chairs will be allowed either.
According to the news release, parking is free at McKelligon Canyon.
On top of the music performances, guests can also enjoy a variety of food trucks, beverages, vendor booths, prize giveaways and more.
