EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 60-year-old woman and her son were both arrested after they were caught illegally dumping trash on Tuesday, April 22, near Homestead Meadows South, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, deputies were actively patrolling and conducting surveillance in various desert areas when they saw suspicious activity near the 4000 block of Acacia Drive.
Deputies saw a white pick-up truck drive into the desert terrain, and Lucia Villa, 60, and her son, Fernando Villa, 32, exited the truck and began illegally dumping trash in the area, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Lucia Villa and her son were taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on charges of illegal dumping. The white pickup truck was also impounded.
