EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The annual ¡mira! Las Cruces festival returns “bigger and better” for its third year this Saturday, April 26, organizers said.
The free festival will be from 2-9:30 p.m. on April 26, in Downtown Las Cruces, according to the news release by Visit Las Cruces.
This year, ¡mira! Las Cruces will have its first-ever drone show to light up the night sky at 8:45 p.m.
In addition, the festival will bring back live luchador matches on Las Cruces Avenue, featuring Magno, Divina, Aero and more.

Once ¡mira! Las Cruces has kicked off, guests can enjoy a lineup of talent, including youth performances, a jazz band, ballet folkloric and Danza Azteca.
El Paso native DJ Johnny Kage will headline the festival at 8 p.m. at the Plaza de Las Cruces. Before Kage’s set, mariachi group Feminil Flores and cumbia group El Gozao will perform at the Roberto V. Estrada Main Stage, according to Visit Las Cruces.

“This year we want to showcase the different genres of music that represent Las Cruces and the
region,” Visit Las Cruces Executive Director Rochelle Miller-Hernandez said. “We’re looking forward to elevating the festival with the performance of DJ Kage and new features such as the drone show and live luchador matches.”
Guests can also enjoy free dance lessons at the plaza at 6 p.m. before El Gozao’s performance.
Furthermore, the Rio Grande Theatre will also host live music performances by The Vick Walker Band, Vybez and Proud Pete.
According to Visit Las Cruces, on top of the live entertainment, visitors can look forward to enjoying a farmers’ market, plenty of activities, a car show, a public mural and a kids zone.
Due to the festival, the Las Cruces Farmers’ and Crafts market will be moved to Sunday, April 27, but many vendors will attend ¡mira! Las Cruces for the “expanded Farmers’ Market Experience,” according to Visit Las Cruces.

Security and law enforcement will be present throughout the event to reinforce a safe and enjoyable experience.
“Visit Las Cruces places safety and security above all else, and this year’s festivities are no
exception,” Miller-Hernandez said. “¡mira! Las Cruces is designed with family fun in mind and we
welcome everyone to experience the festivities and celebrate our beautiful community.”
There will be free parking available in the downtown area, including street parking and lots north and south of the plaza, according to Visit Las Cruces.

As well, there will be more parking available east and west of the plaza, along Church Street and Water Street.
According to Visit Las Cruces, the parking lot on the southeast side of Main Street, directly behind the New America School, will be closed through Saturday, April 26, for drone set up and launch.
Additionally, the parking lot behind the Rio Grande Theatre will also be closed to the public.
The City of Las Cruces will shut down roads surrounding the Downtown area and motorists should be cautious of closed streets.
Folding and camping chairs will be allowed as seating is limited. Guests can bring well-behaved pets as long as they remain on a leash, according to Visit Las Cruces.
