EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying a man who stole over $6,000 in gold jewelry last month from a kiosk inside Cielo Vista Mall.
This is this week’s Crime of the Week, as publicized by Crime Stoppers of El Paso.
At 4 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, a man on a BMX-style bicycle entered Cielo Vista Mall, located at 8401 Gateway West, and went to a jewelry kiosk named Gold and Silver.
The man then took various gold jewelry items, including gold earrings and a few watches, with a total estimated value of $6,400, according to Crime Stoppers.
According to Crime Stoppers, the man is in his 20s, has a dark complexion, a mustache and possibly a goatee or beard.
The man wore a black and white Cheech and Chong California Republic tie-dye hooded sweatshirt, a black and white tie-dye sweatpants and had a black backpack, Crime Stoppers said.
