KTSM News – Doña Ana County residents invited to participate in community survey

Posted on April 27, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Residents in Las Cruces and Doña Ana County are invited to participate in the National Community Survey to provide direct input into local government decision-making processes, according to the City of Las Cruces.

The National Community Survey is an online survey that “was developed in partnership with the International City/County Management Association in 2001 to provide cities and counties with a scientific survey of resident opinions and an important benchmarking tool that allows for comparison among communities,” according to the City of Las Cruces.

In addition, the City said the survey is used for residents to provide direct input to the local government decision-making process.

Residents can access the survey here for the English version and here for the Spanish version.

According to the City, the survey includes 33 questions for residents to provide answers and comments. The survey takes roughly 20 minutes to complete.

The National Community Survey will be available until Thursday, May 8.

Once residents have answered the questions, they will be asked to provide their ZIP code to confirm where they live, according to the City.

“The ZIP code allows the City to be sure they are hearing from each person only once and see which general area of the city respondents live,” the City said.

According to the City of Las Cruces, the survey responses will remain anonymous and residents can choose to provide an email address that will allow the City to easily contact them if there are future questions.

For more information, residents can contact Community Engagement Manager Catrina Godinez at (575) 528-3003 or by email at cgodinez@lascruces.gov.
