EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 29-year-old man wanted on an active personal recognizance bond warrant for alleged child sex abuse and other related charges was arrested Monday, April 28, after a short standoff in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office for Precinct 3.
The Constable’s Office says they received information of an active personal recognizance bond warrant on William David Patterson, 29, for a count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of sexual assault of a child, eight counts of improper relationship between educator and child, and four counts of online solicitation of a child under 14.
Patterson was taken into custody at the 14900 block of Pebble Hills after a short standoff and was booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
The Constable’s Office says Patterson was initially arrested by the Socorro Police Department in September 2023 for an improper relationship between an educator and child. In December 2023, he was indicted for the remaining counts.
